FLY USA - VENICE: Overnight transatlantic flights from
the United States to Venice.
VENICE,
Italy: Upon arrival transfer to your first-class hotel. Due to
various arrival times, no activities or services are planned for this first
evening. Meals are on your own.

Day 03
|
VENICE, Italy: After a moning orientation tour of this City
of Bridges, the remainder of the day is free to explore Venice, one of
the most beautiful cities in the world, famous for its multitude of canals.
Some may choose to take a gondola ride; those who like to shop will find a
delightful assortment of masks, glassware, and other magnifiscent
souvenirs. Enjoy a leisurely Italian dinner at one of the many restarants
of your choice. (B)

Day 04
|
VENICE - KOPER, Slovenia - EMBARKATION - CRUISE: Drive along the
coast and through the countryside from Venice to Koper, Slovenia's largest
Adriatic port and the starting point of your cruise. Embarkation is
scheduled after 4 pm. After check-in formalities, join a brief information
meeting followed by dinner. Set sail later this evening. (B, D)

Day 05
|
CRUISE - ZADAR, Croatia: Once a dominant city
on the Adriatic and rival of Venice, Zadar preserves much of its early
Roman spirit. It also hosts a perminent collection of church art known as The
Gold and Silver of Zadar. Optional tours include a visit to the 9th
century Byzantine Church of St. Donat, a visit to a renaissance city of
Sibenik, or a day trip to the lovely Plitvice Lakes National Parks with a
picnic lunch. (B, L, D)

Day 06
|
CRUISE - PLOCE, Bosnia-Herzegovian - KORCULA, Croatia: Ploce is a
commercial port located in central Dolmatia. Spend the morning exploring
the town or take an optional tour to the famous old city of Mostar in
Bosnia-Herzegovina. Mostar is centered around its famous stone archy Stari
Most bridge binding two banks of the emerald Neretva river. During the
tour you will be able to see the reconstructed bridge built by the Turkish
occupants more than 500 years ago and the Turkish House. In the afternoon
sail to the island of Korcula. Enjoy a tour of the birthplace of the famous
explorer Marco Polo: the historic town of Korcula, with its narrow
cobblestone streets, cafes, museums and churches. Korcula is one of the
most visited destinations on the Adriatic coast. (B, L, D)

Day 07
|
CRUISE - KOTOR, Montenegro: Welcome to the newly
independent country of Montenegro! Be sure not to miss the magniffficent
vistas as you sail through the stunning Kotor Bay, the largest natural
fjord outside of Norway. The town of Kotor has preserved a unique medieval
atmosphere. It is surrounded by 60-foot high walls that are up to 45 feet
thick and 3 miles long that lead to the fort of St. Ivan. Explore the town
on your own or take an optional Riviera Tour, which will take you through
two of the main Montenegran seacide attractions: the unique Island Hotel of
Sveti Stefan and the reasort city of Budva. (B, L, D)

Day 08
|
CRUISE - DURRES, Albania: Welcome to Albenia!
Durres, with its deep bay is one of Albania's major ports. You can choose
to spend your day here or purchase an optional tour to Albania's nearby
capital city, Tirana. In Tirana you will visit Skanderberg Square, Et'hem
Bey Mosque, and the National Museum. (B, L, D)

Day 09
|
CRUISE - DUBROVNIK, Croatia: Today's port of call
is the world renowned port city of Dubrovnil. This historica gem, once an
independent state that rivaled Venice, offers astounishing architecture,
cultural history, and breathtaking beauty. During your morning tour, you
will pass the Franciscan and Dominican Monasteries, Dubrovnik's Cathedral,
the Rector's Palace, the Stradun pedestrian zone, the Grand City
Walls, and St. Blaise's Church. Afterwords, you can explore on your own or
decide between several optional excursions that will be offered onboard.
Tonight you may also purchase tickets to a Dalmatian folkloric performance.

Day 10
|
CRUISE - SPLIT, Croatia: This morning you
arrive in Split, the second largest city in Croatia. Split gradually
developed around the ancient palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian built
more than 1700 years ago. With Diocletian cellars, the Cathdral of the
Temple of Jupitor, the Golden Gate Porta Aurea, the Peristyle, the
lively Market Pajeca, and the sunny see promenade Riva, Split certainly
exemplifies a typical mediterranian city. Spend the day exploring it!
Various optional tours in and around Split will be available. Tonight is
the captain's Gala Fairwell Dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 11
|
CRUISE - KOPER, Slovenia - DISEMBARKATION - VENICE,
Italy: After breakfast, say good-bye to your ship and crew as you
disembark in the renaissance city of Koper. Transfer back to Venice. After
hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free to savor one last day in Italy.
