Day 01
|
USA - AMSTERDAM:
Depart the USA on your plane bound to Amsterdam. Meals and services on
board as per airline policy. Sit back and enjoy your flight. It's tulip
time!

Day 02
|
AMSTERDAM:
After arrival you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to
your floating hotel. Use your free afternoon hours to stroll the canals
as you experience the ambience of this delightful 700-years old city
with its elegant and classic architecture, cafes, and restaurants,
lively marketplace and exciting nightlife. Perhaps visit one of the
renowned museums such as the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum to see
the works of famous Dutch masters. Tonight meet your fellow passengers
for Welcome Cocktails and dinner. (D) (D)

Day 03
|
AMSTERDAM - VOLENDAM - EDAM - ENKHUIZEN:
Enjoy a morning cruise through the historic canals of Amsterdam. Explore
the city some more on your own before your ship sails out of Amsterdam
Harbor. A short cruise on the ljsselmeer takes you to the village of
Edam, famous for its delicious cheese. Continue through the blazing
colors of the tulip fields before returning to your ship in Enkhuizen, a
charming port with a rich maritime past, narrow cobblestone streets and
fortified gates. (B, L, D)

Day 04
|
ARNHEM:
Arrive in Arnhem and board your motor coach for a visit to the Airborne
Museum Hartenstein, which shows the Battle of Arnhem, one of the major
tragedies of World War II. Return to your ship around lunchtime and
spend a leisurely afternoon and evening cruising through Holland on to
Belgium. (B, L, D)

Day 05
|
ANTWERP:
This morning enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Antwerp, the
second-largest Belgian city and one of the world’s most important
ancient seaports. Visit the Grote Markt with its beautiful city hall and
Church of Our Lady and admire the city’s superb architecture. In the
afternoon, we strongly recommend the optional excursion to nearby
Brussels, which is not only Belgium’s capital but also the seat of the
EU government. After dinner, your vessel departs for Ghent. (B, L, D)

Day 06
|
GHENT:
Start your day with a guided sightseeing tour of Ghent, the real diamond
of Flansders. In a unique way, Ghent has managed to preserve its
medieval charm and its city center is a showcase of medieval Flemish
wealth and commercial success. Spend your afternoon at leisure in Ghent,
or take an optional excursion to the town of Bruges, one of Europe’s
most perfectly preserved medieval cities. (B, L, D)

Day 07
|
ZIEIKZEE - DORDRECHT:
Today, you will sail through the Dutch region of Zeeland where you will
find one of the world’s most complex engineering projects, the Delta
Works, which took over 30 years to complete. After the flood of 1953,
the Delta Plan was born to prevent another disaster of this magnitude,
and the four great sea-arms in the southwest of the Netherlands were
closed by dams. Explore charming Zierikzeee before continuing to
Dordrecht, one of the oldest towns in Holland. Nearby are the 18th
century windmills of Kinderdijk, the largest group of original mills.
Tonight, take a stroll through lovely Dordrecht or enjoy a special music
performance on board. (B, L, D)

Day 08
|
KEUKENHOF - AMSTERDAM:
Cruise along the Amsterdam - Rhine Canal which takes you to Utrecht.
Disembark for a shore excursion to the famous Keukenhof Gardens where
you can see a spectacular display of bulb flowers. Keukenhof also offers
several lakes, sculpture gardens, greenhouses, and a windmill to
explore. Itt is one of the most photographed sights in the world. Before
dinner, return to your ship mooring in Amsterdam and enjoy the last
evening of this cruise. (B, L, D)
