USA-China:
Overnight flights to China. Meals and services onboard as per airline policy.
Beijing:
On arrival to China's capital, transfer to your hotel. Due to various flight arrival times, the day is free of activities and meals are on your own.

Day 03
|
Beijing:
Enjoy a morning city tour to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. From there, continue on a Hutong Tour with a bicycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of the old city and a lunch with a local family in their home. The evening is reserved for special Peking Duck Welcome Dinner, followed by a Chineses Opera performance.

Day 04
|
Beijing:
This morning depart for a half day excursion to the 7th wonder of the world - the Great Wall of China with lunch. Afterwards visit a jade factory and stop at the famous Silk Alley Market for some souvenir shopping. In the evening dinner will be served at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 05
|
Beijing - Xian:
After breakfast, visit the impressive Temple of Heaven. Then continue to the airport for your flight from Beijing to Xian. Transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free of activities. Dinner is on your own. (B, L)

Day 6
|
Xian:
Your day will begin with a magnificent History Museum where the 8,000 lifesize Terra-Cotta Warriors of the first Emperor Qi have remained undeterred for over 2,000 years. Enjoy a delicious noodle lunch at the museum restaurant. On the way back to your hotel stop at a local Lacquer-ware factory. The evening is reserved for the fabulous Tang Dynasty dinner and show. Day 7
|
Xian - Chongqing - Emabrkation:
Time permitting, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda of Xian on the way to the airport before flying to Chongqing. Upon arrival in Chingqing, enjoy a visit at the Panda Zoo and an artist gallery during your panoramic city tour. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before you embark your floating hotel. Set sail at 9 pm. (B, D)

|
CRUISE - Riverside Town:
Today you will make a stop at one of these typical riverside towns: Shibaozhai, Wanzhou, or Fengdu. A city tour will introduce you to local attractions. (B, L, D)
CRUISE - Lesser Three Gorges:
Pass through the short but impressive Qutang Gorge and scenic Wu Gorge. Then embark on an excursion of the idyylic Daning River Gorges. (B, L, D)

Day 10
|
CRUISE - Three Gorges Dam:
After breakfast, enjoy a tour of the gargantuan Three Gorges Dam. In the afternoon take off on a tour of Yichang, the economic and cultural center of the western Hubei Province.Enjoy our on board commentary and activities. (B, L, D)

Day 11
|
CRUISE - New Zigui:
Embark on a shore excersion to New Zigui, a new city built to accommodate families relocated as a result of the rising waters of the Yangtze, brought about by the Three Gorges Dam project. Later sail through the longest of the Three Gorges, the Xiling Gorge. (B, L, D)

Day 12
|
CRUISE - Lesser Three Gorges:
Today you travel down the Shennong Stream in small motorized sampans. In the afternoon pass through the Wu and Qutang Gorges. A Crew Review is planned for tonight. (B, L, D)

Day 13
|
CRUISE - Riverside Town:
Depending on sailing conditions, today you will stop and tour a different typical Yangtze riverside town: Shibaozhai, Fengdo, or Wanxian. Your walking tour will highlight all the local attractions. Then it's time to prepare for your Captain's Farewell Dinner followed by a Karaoke party. (B, L, D)

Day 14
|
CRUISE - Disembarkation - Chongqing - Shanghai:
Disembark in the morning and transfer to Chongqing airport for your flight to Shanhai. Refreshments onboard as per airline policy. Arrive in Shanghai. In the afternoon, your sightseeing tour will include the Bund, Nanjing Road, and Yu Yuan Gardens. Dinner is served at a local restaurant. Overnight at your 5-start hotel. (B, D)

Day 15
|
Shanghai:
After breakfast at your hotel, your morning tour will take you to the Jade Buddha Temople that will be followed by a special Mongolian style BBQ lunch. Next you will visit the Children's Palace (when in session). Then you will have some time on your own before dinner, which will be followed by traditional Chineses Acrobats Show. (B, SL, D)

Day 16
|
Shanghai:
You have a full free day to explore this vibrant city on your own. Take an optional tour or simply browse the downtown open marketplaces in search of those last minute gifts and souvenirs. No meals are planned (besides breakfast!), so you can enjoy some of Shanghai's many restaurants at your leisure. (B)

Shanghai - HOME:
